“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.”
Music is an extremely important subject for all children to learn and can lead to better human connection. Learning music promotes craftsmanship, and students learn to want to create good work instead of mediocre work. This desire can be applied to all subjects of study. Students who practice with musical instruments can improve their hand-eye coordination. It helps auditory development in the brain and allows students to try something new and develop confidence. Listening to a favorite artist or song can lift a mood and relax the students, which gives kids a great release. Music can have a powerful impact on kids with special needs too. It helps them find a way to communicate and open up, which they may struggle with otherwise. It expresses that which cannot be said. Its right to say “Where words fail, music speaks.”
