India has one of the oldest, richest and most diverse cultural traditions associated with the use of medicinal plants. It represents a striking example of the intimate link between biodiversity and cultural diversity. Due to rapid urbanisation and all pervasive usage of modern allopathic medicines, present generation are losing touch with the use of medicinal plants in their health care.
Students are made aware of the plants biodiversity in our surroundings and its usage for promoting physical and spiritual well being. Our school has made sincere efforts in this direction and constructed a green house and herbal garden. The objectives of this programme are to create awareness among school children about the importance and usage of medicinal plants. This project is educative, informative and practical to promote conversation of plant biodiversity for better health care and a cleaner environment.
The child should be ward of Army Personnel and minimum of 5 years for admission in First Class.
