Fitness Week celebration
2nd and 3rd week of November 2019

The challenges of the modern day life has brought along with it the need to be more physically proactive and fit in order to face its challenges with optimum energy and positivity. Principal ,Dr Krishna Singh  stated that, to encourage the youngsters and students and to include sports and physical activity in their daily routine such activities endeavors to alter students’ behavior from 'Passive Screen time' to 'Active Field time' and the aim of the objective is to develop Sports Quotient among all the students to achieve a healthy lifestyle.
The Fitness Week in APS Abohar begins on 18 Nov to 23 Nov 2019 with yoga exercises, dance, aerobics and various activities of fitness and nutrition where students brought healthy tiffin and learnt table manners as well. Some free hand exercises and mental fitness activities like lectures, Physical activities like, gardening, rope skipping were also conducted during the week. Some traditional games like pitthu, Gilli Danda, tug –of-War, hoolahoop were also enjoyed by the students. A lecture on Fitness was also delivered by Mr Sudhir Puri during assembly. A demonstration on fitness was also arranged by 175 MH where children were taught about the first aid as well. The main idea of these activities is to instill in students the understanding for regular physical activity and higher levels of fitness enhancing in them self-esteem and confidence.
